POLAR OIL SP is a mineral oil-free sulphited fatliquor containing about 65% of active matter, having a good leather softening power and with a discrete electrolyte and hardwater stability.
It is suitable for all kind of soft leather and for the pre-fatliquoring of suede.
POLAR OIL SP can be used alone or in combination with other oils.
The product penetrates through the whole section of the hide, leaving a soft, full and never dry hand.
POLAR OIL SP is used during vegetable tanning as pre-fatliquor to preserve the grain while milling in short bath and for vegetable shoulder for leather-goods.
In chrome retanning, POLAR OIL SP penetrates deeply and fixes well leaving a soft and full leather. The percentages of use, calculated on shaved weight, vary from 3% to 15% depending from the final wished article.
